Chest hurts

Yep it was time for me push out the last of the bad to leave with the good memories of a norty happy life. It's a good new year ritual, now it's time for the next dog.
Exactly this x There is no right or wrong time to cleanse , its when we feel ready . I thought I could never love another Labrador , that the time would never be right but look whats happened ! Our hearts are big enough to love many xx

She will never been forgotten, a cleansing is good when you are ready for it, as you were. I still have my beloved dog's ashes in the cardboard box on my desk and he has been dead for over 18 months, though I don't feel that it is him in there.

Enjoy your new dog, it is a testament to the lost dog that gave so much to us that we feel able to love another dog.

So hard to get rid of things when they are gone, even things that remind more of the hard times than the good.

(I've been doing my regular pre-move clean out and still finding things of Brogan's from three years ago that I should have gotten rid of but still can't seem to manage...)

I've still got her coat and collars those I will keep. I thought I would manage to let them go but like you no not yet. It was important to reread and remember her illness how she still remained true to her pirate ways and finally just remember the good bits. The medical stuff was hard to face but for me necessary. I needed to do it

It's a year end thing every year i get rid of stuff. It helps me feel free of things take stock and understand how I'm feeling. It prepares me for the year ahead
