My mam still has our dogs lead and collar with his name tag. He only ever had one of each on the entire time we had him (poor deprived pup ).

He died about 16 years ago but she said she will keep them forever x

I still have Gavin’s name tag, it was one of those barrel ones with a slip of paper in. It still has some of his hair on it.

We still have Jazzmynn’s and Sasha’s collars. They’re in with our Christmas tree decorations and come out each year to be hung on the tree. Always up front and very visible.

I have Sams lead and collar hanging in the porch , and there they will stay x
Edited to add that we actually have leads and collars from many lost dogs , and little plaques around the garden with names on . I have not done one for Sam yet as I cant face it x

I have a tiny pot with a snippet of dog tail fur taken from the last dog in our family, 1980s.

Our Robbie's collar is still hanging in the kitchen. He is part of our family for ever.

I have a toy which was the last thing my GSP played with, I have a used packet of treats, which Saffy GSP had eaten the day before. I have a plaque in the garden with the names of my dogs whose ashes are buried below. My present Lab wears the collar of my deceased Lab. I just wish I could have them all back, especially knowing what I know now.

I have Casper’s collars, and lead, also the remains of the schmako treat he was chewing as he drifted off. Also still have his ashes which will come with us when we move, ready to be put in the garden if our last forever house.

I just glad they were in my life they ment so much. I do feel sad about their absence but celebrate the happiness of their lives and love came with it.

Nearly a year,. Nearly 12 months of no Moo mischief. Missed her this morning the birds were singing and it was one of her favourite times. I can just see her snuffling about and barking at me to throw that bloody ball. Silly little dog still running about a n my head

@SwampDonkey it can be heartbreaking at times, it is a lovely thought though that she is still running about in your head.

I moved Belle's harness & lead from the peg in the porch last week and put them away. I need the space for the current pair's 4 leads & 3 harnesses, the hooks were becoming crowded. I felt a bit sad, but I have so much happiness in me for her, it will soon smother my sadness again.

I think I'm at that stage too, just the happy memories, but it's nearly a year a whole year and I miss her stroppy crazy ways and the gentleness

They certainly don't x Reuben is wearing one of Sams collars , it seemed wrong at first but now it seems right . Not a day goes by without I think of our boy, and this is how it should be , staying as a bitter/sweet memory for always x
