Just catching up and...oh. my. goodness. I'm so sorry you and Kipper are going through this rollercoaster. Thinking all the positive lambie power thoughts that his heart rate is coming down right now. If I understood correctly, they'll only call you tonight if there's a negative change, but any chance you can give them a ring later on to see how he's doing? It sure would help if you got confirmation of good news tonight.

This is so scary! I wish we could have a 'dog-less' party tonight to take our minds off things! I had no idea about the inhalers...it's good that the vet is onsite all night. That would make me feel better. Fingers crossed Kipper has a quick recovery. I would ask the vet for a late night check in call to help put your mind at ease.

Ace advice @Emily_Babbelhund and @Ashley, and thanks again for all the solidarity, gang - just spoken to Ben the duty vet who brings a glimmer of improvement.
Apparently bloods are showing that Kipper’s potassium levels are back to normal as a result of ‘spiking his bag’ (potassium additives in the IV fluids - Ben is quite ‘street’) and he’s eaten, so they’re content that potassium levels have stabilised. His heart rate has dropped to 160 - still too high, but heading in the right direction - and his blood pressure is normal. So this is at the predicted start of the ‘medicine half-life window’ where they’d expect to see improvements within 8-12 hrs of ingesting the drug. Which all indicates that we’re not out of the woods, but heading in the right direction...
Ben the vet’s updating me again at 9pm; they won’t do any more bloods tonight but will keep monitoring blood pressure and heart rate. OH has instructed me to go and “nosebag pronto” so I’m going to forage :)

Oh no, sending lots of get well wishes to kippper. I read this post earlier at work but couldn't reply, and spent the next few hours wondering whether Monty could possibly get hold of my own, identical inhalers.

Such a scary afternoon and evening for you both, but hopefully you are over the very worst now.
