Christie and Alice

Yesterday I had to say goodbye to my beautiful springer spaniel Alice. This has come just five weeks after losing my old horse Christie just before Christmas. I am totally heartbroken at losing my beloved animals so close one after the other. Christie was 32 and I had him for 30 years. He was such a big part of my life. Alice was coming up to 14, the most beautiful and elegant springer spaniel I ever knew. Both of them helped me to deal with some extremely traumatic times last year and now they are both gone and I am totally bereft. Run free, my most beautiful and precious friends, until we meet again. đź’”

It's hard to loose our friends. I remember the photos you posted of
Christie he was a wonderful horse. Alice was just gorgeous. So sorry ♥

Losing a single companion is the hardest thing at any time. You've had to say goodbye to so many of late and it's just not fair. Their memories will bring you comfort in the times to come, but for now, I'm so sorry for the pain you're in.
Sweet dreams, dearest Alice in Clumberland x

Sorry you've had two such big losses so close together, it must be very hard and these times are difficult enough without a double blow like this.
You know they will always be by your side in your memories and I hope this brings you some comfort. In my thoughts. xxx

Her two passions in life were hunting and retrieving and she did both with style and ease. She had the sweetest nature and at the same time she was the boss in our house.

I'm so sorry for you Heidrun, that's just so unfair losing them so close together, on top of everything else you are going through right now. Sending virtual hugs xx
