Christmas highlights

Cassie has had the most lovely few days over Christmas and been a real delight to us all.
Not to worry though, the wild child within is still alive and well and she's been full of spirit as usual :)

If asked I think her top four highlights would be (and this in no particular order) :)

1. The giblets, which lasted over 3 of her meal times.

2. The house being full of people.

3. Playing backstop for a game of head basket, she did an admirable job of retrieving all the little balls that went awol. Which was plenty.

4. The cup of Cointreau laced tea which some kind soul left on the hearth in front of the woodburner :)

All in all, she's thoroughly enjoyed herself, I think it's fair to say.

Joy's highlight was unsupervised access to grandchildren with unlimited amounts of treats while all the adults were busy.:dug::happyfeet:
My highlight was not scraping the result off the doormat just as we all sat down to Christmas dinner.:poo:
My highlight was during Charades after dinner when Joy was frequently used as a clue for words such as Joy (obviously), dog (ditto)and...... despite the mat incident....Good!:santa::rofl::heart:

she chose to go on the long walk because they were all going.
Oh that's heartwarming. THey just love people so much don't they?

@Candy, sounds like you had a a good Christmas, regardless of the poo incident ! I did think about you.
she would sit by the tables, look but not touch. I’m so proud of her.
Super girl Harley, she's so special.:inlove:

Cassie was really good around all the food as well.

I had the best Christmas, and Simba too! For the first time we were all at home with our adult children, and Simba loved having everyone around for cuddles (especially in the mornings on various beds) and walks...one day he got four! He had a special Christmas treat while we had our Christmas dinner - while we had our turkey feast he got some chicken necks and a Christmas doggie biscuit along with his kibble.

He’s a bit forlorn now that everyone has gone (me too!) but not to worry, they are all coming back on New Year’s Day for an annual brunch with our best friends which is at our house this year. :xmasparty:

Pongo's highlights were (a) a cardboard box under the tree with a big juicy stinky chew inside; (b) helping us with our special Christmas Day dinner - fillet steak no less; (c) rather amazingly, a big agility fun day yesterday where he excelled.
He has higher high spots to come, because we haven't really "done" Christmas yet - all four stepdaughters, plus husbands and six grandchildren are descending on Friday for Family Christmas with all the trimmings. The poor pup isn't going to know what's hit him (although if it is edible he'll cope I'm sure….)

This was one of my highlights of Christmas and is of course dog related ❤. Painted by my lovely step daughter - I was very moved when I opened it - not only is it stunning (especially if you look at it at a distance) and taken from my favourite photo of Red - but so special as SD is a very busy person and completing her PhD - the fact she took time out to do this for us bought tears to my eyes
