Chucked out two CM books

We’re painting our house. Everything needs to be moved (it’s a nightmare—we’ll have to move out at some point). Good time to declutter. First to go: the two Caesar Milan books I bought when we got Snowie as an 8-week-old puppy. Felt so good to throw them into the recycling. Ordinarily I would never throw away a book. Better to give to a charity shop. But not these; I don’t want anyone reading them. Poor Snowie that I used some of the methods in his early life. Poor little happy pup to be subjected to being ignored when he bounded over in the park—no touch, no eye contact. Ffffffffffff*#%%%#%%>€%*!!!!! I’m sure this is why we struggled with recall. Thank goodness we saw the light eventually, and thank goodness I didn’t use those methods all the time and had other influencers and people around me with common sense.

Snowie had chewed both books, ripped the cover off one. Clearly he knew better!

Great idea!! But ours is a gas fireplace. Looks traditional; even fooled the painter boss this morning!

It is very hot here, so unfortunately not the season for warming your toes. But if it had been cold, I would’ve made a plan to make a fire. Nevertheless, it was very satisfying putting out the recycling bag this morning with that load of rubbish inside it.

Really? It says that? That IS so sad. :'(
CM’s mantra: no touch, no eye contact. When meeting a dog for the first time. When a dog is rowdy. When you come home and your dog meets you at the door. And I guess I interpreted it to something along the lines of that I should ignore my puppy's desire for attention in the park, otherwise I risk a rude, demanding puppy.

Terribly, terribly sad. Perhaps he might not actually say that. But I’m sure many people follow his methods without thinking, and are cruel without even being aware of it.

I totally overcompensate now!!!!! Snowie gets the biggest hallo’s and a ton of love ALL the time. Suffice to say, recall has improved dramatically.
