Clicker training

OK we have started to charge the clicker with Honey as we did not want to overwhelm her in the early days and just rather have her settled as much as possible.

I have found a minor flaw, no matter where I go in the house or even outside and shut the door, Vanilla seems to come and expect same ie: 'C&T'.
Problem to an extend I have is that I do the training. I did all the training with Vanilla as OH just lost interest and due to other personal issues and time.

thought of overcoming this, or do I just 'C&T' both but expect a better behavior from Vanilla? I know as an example when I have had both together because it was easier, I was throwing treats on the floor for Honey and Vanilla just sat and watched, did not move. Of course I rewarded her for that.

I know it will be easier once I can take Honey out, but still I want to try and do the same as I did with Vanilla.

With mine, they learnt very quickly that the one who is being trained is the one who the click is for. It's clear by your body language. You can't effectively C&T multiple dogs at once because it's a precision tool; if you wait for both dogs to be performing that precise action at precisely the same time, you will be losing a huge number of opportunities to click smaller behaviours. So, no, use your body language to make it very clear "this is Honey's turn", "this is Vanilla's turn" and the clicks are for that dog accordingly. Just looking at the dog you're training is enough for this. Pop the other onto a boundary of some description (bed, crate, playpen, sofa) so they also learn to take turns. By all means feed them while they're waiting nicely, but reserve the clicks for the one you're focusing on.

Thanks, thought there would be a simple answer. I am sure it wont take long to train Vanilla to sit out and then do the same for Honey.
