Does anyone want a Labrador?

The last few days Amber has just driven us nuts, Really, I am certifiable at the best of times but these last few days I am ready to book myself in at the local secure mental facility. I have no idea what has gotten into her but she is stopping the other dogs from getting up the stairs unless I am there to stop her. She is taking chewies away from them. She is stopping them going out for a pee. She tries to stop them eating. She tries to stop them doing anything!
I would never kill her but killing myself might a peaceful option!
This has only been for the last three or four days but it means we are constantly having to babysit them all. There have been no changes as far as I can see and she is healthy and, for the most part, happy. but this behaviour is going to end up with me in a psychiatric unit!

Pee Pee Ess, not trying to make light of it, it sounds stressful. Hope it sorts itself out soon for you, you do such a brilliant job with your lovely dogs.

Toby has been here for a while now and she didn't do all of this when Alex joined us. I'm not sure what is going on.
I am a psychologist so I am probably sectional by default.

Tee hee! Psychologists eh? I had one (briefly) on my team who was a passive aggressive nightmare ( but that's not limited to psychologists). The rest were brilliant, massively helpful and became good friends.

I hear you 100% @Aitch. I am so stressed after a weekend away with Maxx and two friends. He constantly mugged and jumped on them. Goobered all over their clothes, and barked loudly if we tried to keep him outside and honestly I could have cheerfully given him away. We're home now so I'm up having a sanity saving pedicure.....

@Lab_adore life with Ripple is a constant battle as well, I usually take the boys out together but yesterday I took Toffee out on his own for a 2 hour walk and it was lovely and peaceful (although I didn’t say that about Toffee when he chased a deer this week right up to a road).

Could it have something to do with the weather? Even still walking them, it's not exactly the same experience with the constant wind and horizontal rain. The wind alone - yikes. In Spain with the Levante (high dusty wind up from North Africa), people and animals alike go nutty after a few days, let alone the three weeks of howling we've had this month.

You may be right. They have still had their walks but Amber's behaviour has been out of character since the high winds have hit us here. Darn! I was hoping it would be something I could fix.
Oh well, lots of calming games for the foreseeable future.
