Dogs and storms

Atemas

It was absolutely lashing it down yesterday afternoon. There was a massive clap of thunder at one point. Red jumped up quite startled but I pretended I hadn’t seen her, I just carried on with what I was doing. She was looking at me with a ‘what was that expression’ but I just ignored her as if it hadn’t happened. She promptly went back to her bed and fell asleep.

We had that too Alison at about 10.30, followed by the downpour of all downpours.
Maisy was completely happy in the garden playing with her ball early in the evening amongst the low grumbling thunder and the pretty lightning.
Then she settled down for bed and that evil big lightning flash and thunderclap sent her running about like a chicken, poor love didn't know where to go, she was very frightened. It didn't help that all the power went of for a few minutes. It seems to be the sudden huge shock of a thunder clap that does it, 'normal' thunder is ok.
