Donna Hill relationship walks

I saw this course on the FDSA site and thought it might appeal to some people. Donna Hill is well-known in the R+ world of training service dogs and some of you may have seen her YouTube videos.

This course is about building your connection with your dog throughout your walks. It looks pretty interesting. There's a sample lecture with LOTS of videos on the linked page.

I really like the look of that, thanks for sharing @snowbunny .

I’ve never dipped into Fenzi - do you know whether it’s possible to take the course after the event, I.e. in September? I’m not sure I’ve got the time or money this month, but it’s be great for autumn.

It depends :D
There is a schedule and the courses run in "terms", so the next term starts on 1st August and runs for six weeks. That means that the interaction with the trainer is only available for those six weeks.

However, there are three different levels you can take.
Gold: there is a limited number (normally around 15) of students at this level. They work through the course, posting videos on their specific homework thread, and getting individual feedback from the instructor. It depends on the instructor, but that is normally a maximum of 6 minutes of videoing a week (which is plenty), and more or less unlimited questions.
Silver: you get to read all the gold students' threads, and you can join in with discussions in the separate discussion forum - the instructor will weigh in on these, too. You can also normally ask general questions, and post two videos over the course of the six weeks, to get individual feedback on things you're struggling with.
Bronze: you get access to read all the forums, but you can't post, and you don't get any feedback from the instructor. It's auditing only.

There is normally a Facebook group specific to the group where anyone is able to ask questions from other students, past and present. These vary in their activity level from course to course. Once you've singed up for a course, you also get access to the very active alumni group where, again, you could ask general questions.
Obviously the three levels come in at very different price points.

Once you have taken a course, you have access to the lectures, videos etc for a rolling year - that is, if you take another course at any level within the next year, you will retain access to it.
The forums get taken down six weeks after the course ends, so you need to make any notes from that before that happens.

So, sometimes if there's a course I really want when I don't have the time, and I know it's not one that's scheduled regularly, I will buy it at bronze level so that it goes into my library and I can follow along whenever I do have the time. You don't get the instructor feedback that way, but at least you have the content. It depends how much interaction you want from the instructor.

I believe Donna is a guest trainer rather than being "faculty", so her courses aren't scheduled as regularly as some of the others.
