Echo’s trainer has sent me a photo. He’s working really well and learning his lessons. He’s settled nicely at his boarders, they are first time GD boarders but had a Lab of their own recently and her brother has two Golden Retrievers.

I had a long update with Echo’s trainer today. His buddy is another GR called Laurence - awww!
He got a lovely report temperament - wise and he’s very settled and happy. He’s walking beautifully on lead and enjoying free runs with good recall.
His work is ummm ... how to put it?
Still not out of beginners class. She intends to persevere as he’s a pandemic puppy and hasn’t experienced even a tenth of what a Guide Dog pup would in a normal year.
I‘m not sure when decision time will be, and I didn’t like to ask. He’s been at Big School for eleven weeks now and would normally be due to move on to advanced training.
We’ll see
