Eight months old today

Aargh the teenage months (years?) We have had similar days recently with Buddy, getting in a state and panting loads, jumping around like he is a kangaroo! Today was been picking with his food, there is nothing wrong with it but would only eat off the spoon not from his bowl! I refuse to spoon feed him the whole meal so took it up, not getting into that habit!

Sorry @NicW , but also relieved its not just us ! Reuben has always been excited when anyone visits , but today was on a whole new level ! of course I didnt help matters by getting myself in a state , I should have ignored him rather than try to correct him when he was on the ceiling !

It's good for me to know it's not just us too! Having not done this before, it's good to know its normal (if that's the right word!) puppy behaviour
It is normal , but because Reubs is so big , and I know Buddy is too , we really need to work on excitement , or rather reducing it if possible , food helps ! When my late Sam was going through this , I used tennis balls to distract him , and with Reuben this often helps , just not today but then we have to accept that its often one step forward, two back !

If it's any help, the final picture that @ Boogie posted on the thread Walkies with GGJ took a couple of hours post walk to achieve ( the one where all three dogs are lying down peacefully). It wasn't just young Spencer who was excited, lovely Tatze and my GGJ were too. They're all lovely, I think it's just that we ask quite a lot of them when we ask them to quell their wonderful natural exuberance to fit into our less spontaneous way of life. What would the World be like if we were all more Dog?!
