What did you give her to eat, is it related to that? Rice gives yellow poo. Perhaps you can give her some probiotics?

She's only had chicken and rice since Thursday so that could be it too. I mixed some kibble in with it this evening and will try her back on kibble in the morning so hopefully we'll see a colour change soon

Mucous can be a sign of how long things have been in the bowel for. Longer transition time = more mucous. It’s just a sign of an intestinal upset I’d say. Not a major worry given that she’s looking bright and interested in kitchen activities again

Yup I agree with Rachael. Empty inflamed tummy and bowel produces mucous. Sounds like it's just clearing out the system.

Glad she’s getting better. I think it’s normal to have a bit of mucous after they’ve been unable to go for a few days.
