Farewell, tiny Pongster

I’m so sorry for your loss of your darling Pongo. I am also in awe of your bravery to make sure he never knew pain and suffering.

Pongo had a special place in my heart because he reminded me of my Snowie with his chunkiness and all those folds and glorious fur, and his gentle giant demeanour. I often wondered if they shared an ancestor, Snowie’s father having been imported from the UK.

My condolences to you and your family. Losing a beloved family member really breaks the heart.

Oh Pongo, one of the original forum stars ⭐ He was such a hunky boy 😍 I’m so very sorry to hear of his passing, he had a very abundant life and will be very missed  Run free big guy 🌈 🐾

I’m so sorry, Rosie. Although I didn‘t meet him, Pongo was such a wonderful character. for you and run free Pongo.🌈

My deepest condolences Rosie, it is so heartbreaking to lose your dear companion and friend. Clearly Pongo was a huge character and much loved by those who met him, and he will be very much missed. Run free big chap, and meet your friends over the rainbow bridge.

Oh Rosie, we are so sorry to hear this.

Pongo was big in stature and in character - and a consummate locator of the best muddy puddles on every walk (closely followed by him wallowing in it and becoming a 2-tone dog!). I'm sure that he is now searching for the best muddy puddles over the rainbow bridge 🌈

Awwwwwwwwwwwww - thank you, and those are brilliant photos! We are putting together a memory / story book of him and I'd like to steal these if possible. He loved his Severnside Walkies, and he would be particularly proud of that shot with him caked in mud....

I think it was Ruth who took the pictures. Whoever it was, I'm sure that they won't mind you using them.

I am so so sorry Rosie and Paul. I am sat here in tears reading your news and everyone’s comments. I am remembering the ‘good days’ when we would all meet up and the dogs often got up to mischief!. Pongo was such an amazing dog who Harley loved dearly. They had loads of fun together going in the ‘bog’ and chasing each other. They just loved being with each other.
I know she will be looking after him over the 🌈 bridge for you. Big hugs xx

Harley was his special girl. Thanks Naya - I know they are bog-snorkelling together now.
