Finn has a wart on his eyelid

Oh my word, Snowie has almost the identical thing! He’s going in on Wednesday to have it removed. We opted for a specialist opthalmologist vet to do it. Her stitching is incredible, she works through magnifying glasses. He had a couple on his other eye 2 years ago, which she did. She said at the time more would grow. 🙁

So difficult to photograph it. It’s in the inside of the bottom lid.

Yes, it’s almost the same! Better to remove it!
Finn‘s own vet will do the removal as we don’t have an ophthalmologist to do it. She said she has done a lot of them and I trust her!

Poor Finn. I told Snowie the night before that he was having an op and there would be no breakfast. Next morning, we woke up early cos we had to leave at 7am to get to the vet. Snowie didn’t ask for breakfast, as if he knew. We went downstairs and he came with downstairs and went straight to lie on his downstairs bed until we were ready to leave. It was very weird. Did he understand what I said the night before?!!

How is Finn recovering? The worst is the crying after an anaesthetic.

Finn is doing very well. The wart is gone and I have to give him eye antibiotics. He also has some painkillers. When I came to collect him he was still a bit groggy. There was one thing that I didn’t think through….He didn’t fit in my car with a cone and still groggy…..So yes, Finn has a cone and he is definitely not happy with it. He don’t want to go out, and haven’t peed yet since this afternoon. I hope he will before going to sleep. I don’t trust him without the cone for he will certainly scratch his eye and get the stitches out…..

What a clever Snowy! I am sure that they understand more than we think!
