Finn not feeling very well

During our walk today Finn refused to walk. He was clearly not feeling very well. I checked his paws but couldn't find anything what could have troubled him. I noticed he was drooling and his tummy was slimmer as it normally is. He let me touch it, feeling was normal. I can't figure out what bothered him. We went straight home, but had to walk another 2 km....After a while on our way home he started to act normal again. We will keep an eye on him to see if it happens again. I made a video in case we have to go to the vet. For now he is his old self again.
Did any of you have had similar experience?

Yes Rory often drools when he has stomach pain . It could be his tummy hurts it maybe hes eaten something. It can be a sign that they are in pain or feeling sick.

Poor Finn! Yes drooling can be a sign of nausea or pain, especially if he looked a bit slimmer than normal suggesting he was holding himself differently. Hopefully it has passed and he stays his usual goofy self! Good call taking a bit of video of his behaviour!

That sounds scary for you, especially when you were 2km from home. Glad he's back to normal, but can understand why you're still worried.

Brogan did that to me once out trail running. We were what would normally have been only 30 or so minutes from the car, but took about 1 1/2 hours to get him back to the car. Scared me so much that I never took him so far out again trail running. HOWEVER he never did it after that day and had no medical condition I knew of, and of course he lived for years after. I never did know what the cause was that day.

Yesterday evening before going to bed, Finn didn’t want to walk. after a few steps he decided it was time to go back to bed. He didn’t like the wet from above and the home and his bed were cosy with fire in the box! This morning he is his old self. Nothing is bothering him. So luckily no vet visit and still keeping an eye on him! Let’s see how he will do when we go for a walk in the wood this afternoon…

@Anne123 Cassie too says
"I am with you, my brother."
Dark damp drizzle here this morning, she was not interested in going out. One look through the door and she says "no, I don't think I'll bother" tries to go back to bed :giggl: She agreed to come had a wee, nothing more, decided she'd go back home , thank you very much !

I hope Finn is back to normal now.
