Click in the middle of the box that says "drop image here" and it should open the pictures folder on your computer. Fingers crossed.

I think below that it should say ‘or click here’, so if you click/tap in the box it should bring up your photos. You can then choose which to use.

Do you have an ipad? If so, it may be best to try with that. It’s what I’m using at the moment and it seems more user-friendly for photos. You can select from ‘Photo library’, ‘Take a photo’ or ‘Choose file’. I used ‘Photo library’ for this one and just clicked on one stored in Photos.

I have a MacBook Air.

Try this on the MacBook:
Click on the landscape icon.
Click on the Drop image box.
Scroll down the list of options in the grey area to the left until you get to Photos.
Click on Photos and the photos should appear, the most recent first.

It's also possible to 'export' the photos you want to use from Photos to your desktop, but that takes a bit longer - and then means that you have endless photos on your desktop!

Your post has just arrived as I was trying this on my MacBook! Flicka looks like a young Tuppence!

Actually my Granddaughter worked a way of doing it, it doesn't work as @Granca kindly said, I got to the box but it wouldn't open my photos!
