Flicka's season

Flicka is in season and I have never seen such a swollen vulva poor little mite. I am sure she is feeling a bit fragile, is there anything I can do to cheer her up.
It is 30 years since I had a bitch in season and cannot remember how it goes. She is now 5 days of bleeding. Any advice?

Hmmm... anything that will take her mind off it. A game of search in the house/garden? Hide delicious little treats around and have her look for them? Could you take her to the secure field and let her mooch around for a bit safely? It'll be over soon, but it is pretty sad while it's going on, I know!

Poor Flicka. It always looks so uncomfortable. The boys - especially ones like Carbón without working equipment - sure do have it easier.

I would say "cwtch" her a little bit -- a bit of a balance between taking her mind off it and not asking too much of her xxx
Sounds like she's halfway through already,soon be over. That said I remember very well what a long three weeks it is!

I done a lot of mini training sessions with Harley when she was in season. I found it occupied her without being too much. Hopefully it won’t be too much longer.

Yes, I have taken her out to a field where no other dogs seem to go, and both my daughters came today so that was something different for her.

River, Bramble, Otter andTeasel are all entire, and they generally ( apart from Bramble.. ) have their seasons together. They are all fine - but River, gets upset and clingy just before hand, is super -sensitive for a week or two after, bless her!

Still very swollen vulva, bleeding has slowed down but she is very quiet today, so unlike her. I hope it will be over as soon as possible.
