?Food sensitivity - beef

I think I've got to the bottom - so to speak - of Meg(an) Sparkle's loose poo! There was no dog training last week so she didn't get her usual training treats for over 2 weeks - roast beef and beef & pork-derived sausages, she's mainly had fishy treats (she did have a couple of tiny scraps of beef when preparing person-meals), and her poos became normal. Now we're back training, she's back on the beef, and lo! I just picked up a HUGE poo, topped with a massive dollop of mousse and I am 95% certain it's not Coco's.

Please, please let this be it. I've ordered some fishy sausages from Fish4. Time to make some more sardine pyramid treats.

Agghh!! Up four times in the night, and this morning I pick up huge loose poo piles. Then a liquid one on our walk. I am now studying all food items ingredient lists, even though I don't know for sure beef is the culprit.

When Rory squirtiness was at it worst Mags recommend pro fibre it really helped slow his gut down and get things more solid. If you haven't maybe you'd like to give it a go?

Pro fibre is great stuff! We are pretty sure Casper is sensitive to beef, we only found out when we increased his raw intake...he got itchy skin, looser poos. When we realised there was beef in the completes we swapped. It did take a while for things to settle down though.

It does take awhile slowly but surely I had to build up what I could feed Rory. He has a good diet now with lots of interesting things I just have to avoid chicken and fatty things. So no cheese venison crunchies and he's fine. I use Millie's wolfheart low fat tracker mix which suits him and he looks well on it.

The pro fibre is given everyday. It's in pellet form.I'd tried The logic firm type things but they were not so good. I've also used things like yudigest and yudigest plus they were good too, but pro fibre was the game changer for Rory

Homer gets an upset tummy when he’s had chicken kibble. Small amounts of fresh chicken he’s ok with. I tried turkey kibble too but that has the same effect as chicken.

Burns pork and potato sensitive kibble is the best for Homer. Our dog walker suggested Burns kibble years ago when H was having regular tummy trouble and although I try different brands from time to time we always end up back with Burns as it’s best for his tummy.
