It’s all very frightening - and tragic for those involved. I’ve just been watching a video on today’s fire on the outskirts of Sydney. So sad to see.

What is happening to our world? Headlines full of the fires in NSW and Brisbane (so sorry for our Oz friends), floods in South Yorkshire and the East Midlands here and Venice in Italy has just had the highest tide since 1966. It’s really scary

I just took Reuben for a walk and honestly ,I have never seen rain like it , it was like monsoon rain . Tramping back to the car, soaked to the skin but at least I have a home to go back to , dry clothes and a cuppa , it sort of puts it all into perspective with so much suffering due to extreme weather all over our world xx

I know Kate. Fred and Annie are in the front bedroom watching ducks swim past our house. It should be a lane, but its a river.
We are so lucky because when the water goes, like you said, we will still have our home not like some poor Australian families.
My Gran use to say count your blessings.

It does put it into perspective doesn't it, we can get soaked but then dry and warm. I keep thinking of those poor people with their houses ruined, no heat and no prospect of anything improving in the near future, heartbreaking. We were without electricity once, in the snow, for 4 days and that seemed hell, but at least we were warm again after 4 days.

It's so upsetting to watch what's happening around the world. Yet in Scotland where it's supposed to rain all the time we have had one day of heavy rain in two weeks. Waking up to beautiful frosty mornings, clear blue skies and later of sunshine. Perfect. Thanking our lucky stars x

So scary and heartbreaking My friend’s husband is in Australia right now helping fight the fires with his helicopter company so I have seen some pictures. At the end of the day, belongings can be replaced, as hard as it is to lose, but people/pets can’t be replaced. Hoping everyone stays safe

So I decided I needed to do something to bring some rain. I organised a pool party with my family for Sunday. We are having a very early Christmas get together as we will be away.

What do you reckon the forecast is? Yep! Cool and wet! GAH!
