I hope so! I have some organizing to do before his arrival so that will keep me busy. Also waiting to hear back if my time off request from work is approved… I’ve requested to have four weeks off for when he arrives, so fingers crossed it pans out!

I have to admit, I’m a bit nervous to do this all on my own this time. The last two puppies I had a husband to help with the puppy stages, but this time it’s just Gizmo and I 😅 But I know it will all be worth it ❤

This is so entirely understandable, but I think we expand to fit the role if that makes any sense - if you have a friend or two who can step in for you when you need a break, that’ll be useful (we haven’t really, but there’s two of us doing this!) but every stage moves on relatively quickly before you know it your tiny puppy is learning a bit of impulse control, self awareness and focus. I think you’ll do brilliantly x

Thank you for your words of encouragement!😊 You’re absolutely right, we adjust to new norms and do the best we can and make do. I do have my parents close by that will be helpful for those days where I feel like I’m drowning or taking steps backwards instead of forwards.

But don’t get me wrong I am very much beyond excited and cannot wait to have him home!
