Go Around

Here's another one of Carbon's SD training videos, this one for Go Around. He does great with very little distance, but the goal is to this at distance and with hand signals. He doesn't actually look at me yet to even see the hand signal and when I add distance the poor guy falls apart (the second video). We'll keep working on it!

Oh that tail!! And he’s very focused on you, brilliant :inlove:. I think you’re maybe just progressing a bit quickly? It took us weeks (literally) to build up distance. I’m impressed he’s got it so quick though, and your movements are subtle. That might just be in contrast to mine, which are elephantine... :giggl:

He pretty much has it, it's just the behaviour he has is about going out a certain distance from you and then turning and coming back; he doesn't really see the stool as a part of the picture :D

In the first video, I'd say you're tending to rush a bit so it's not very clean. I'd get him set up so that he's focussed forwards and still, and then send him round. You're making your step and hand wave after he's already moving towards the stool, so it's not a cue for him to move - rather him moving is a cue for you to move. Good training, Carbon! :D

Do you have a cue to go round?
The idea is to add a hand cue, but frankly he doesn't look up at me to learn it. He just dive bombs the turn. :D His trainer suggested I use a foot cue instead to get him going.

Well at least one of us is a good trainer! :ROFLMAO:
