Actually one of the reasons I said I liked the accents in the show last night is that despite having spent nearly a year here altogether (about a half a second in Cornish time, but quite a bit for me!), I'm not sure I've ever heard a proper strong Cornish accent in person. So many people in this area are from somewhere else. For that reason I don't think of
@kateincornwall 's accent as "Cornish" but rather just "Kate". I haven't heard enough examples!
So Kate is the judge of Doc Martin, not me.
However, seeing as I'm less than 30 minutes drive from Port Isaac (Port Wenn on the show), I can tell you it really is that pretty and well worth a visit. I go every year, hopefully this year too if things get better.
