I've met a lot of very sad dog walkers today. There's been a few tears, well a lot actually. Ziggy's mums getting a lot of support and love.

She asked me and another friend to meet her for her first walk without him. We did it was hard for her and us but we all had a bit of a cry and laugh together. We let her talk it's what she needed. Dogs amaze me her dog must have been in a lot of pain. He was still a chasing squirrels. I was glad to help her I was so tired when I got home. Too many good dogs have gone this year.

I'm sorry to read about Ziggy, he sounds like he was loved by one and all, especially by his human mum. You're right, talking about him is what she needs and the more people who can share Ziggy stories to show how he was loved, the better.

This touches a chord in me as Brogan went during a walk as well. As far as I knew he was perfectly fine at 4pm going out for our walk but by 6:30pm he was gone. It's not ever easy no matter how you lose them but in time I've come to appreciate that it was so fast for his sake.

He collapsed his leg was broken but when they found he had multiple tumors throughout his body. The tumors exploded his leg bones. You can understand how traumatised she is. It's one of the worst things I heard of for a long time. I just can't believe it.

Everyone was crying even the vet it was just so hopeless. Such a sad thing we will get her through and support as much as we can. I just sat on the sacks of compost in the garden with my arms round Rory and cried.
