This evening Jambo was put to sleep, he drifted off at home with Zorro next to him and his humans stroking him. He was increasingly frail, disorientated and had developed some worrying symptoms over the last 48 hours and my mum didn’t want to put him through lots of invasive investigations. He was a secure and friendly two pairs of paws to many new puppies and children over the years, and has created a generation of well-adjusted dog lovers. He was quiet, funny, easygoing and utterly unstoppable when something tasty caught his nose, and he leaves a hole bigger than the sky.
