Guide Dogs and Puppies

I took Chaz to the park today while Mr Boogs took the other two to the res. We are not allowed to free run any pups or dogs until we’ve had them for two weeks, so I had him on the long line. He was super well behaved and loved a long sniffy walk.

On the way to the park and on the way home it was amazing walking with a ‘professional’. The difference was really noticeable. He guided me! He stopped at all kerbs, up and down. He took me round corners to cross at safe places and didn’t walk forward when I asked him to if a car was coming. It was really noticeable how far ahead he was scanning and thinking ahead. All this and, of course, he didn’t even have his harness on.

Amazing - and a new experience for me.

Mollie’s owner has got in touch!

She emailed me and wrote as if from Mollie -

“Hello Mags,
Sorry it has taken so long to get in touch, I am settling really well into my new home, I am working really well and keeping my mom safe, I have got a new playmate Inez who is a retired guide dog but she plays with me lots, here is a photo of me cuddled in my favourite place the sofa
Love from Mollie”

I can’t tell you how much this means to me.

Bless her - she’s allowed on the sofa, how wonderful. Happy tears 💧💧
