I am sure he will be ok. So sorry you are having flashbacks about Axel. Hope you called the vet and he/she has reassured you. Just to give you a smile at this stressful time. My OH had a hernia operation and the nurse came to visit, after she left, he came downstairs, ashen face, saying 'the nurse says I am leaking serious liquid'! I had to reassure him it was serous liquidNow I’m starting to worry some. He hasn’t pooped in 48 hours, granted he was fasted 24 hours total… so could be why. It’s really not unusual for him to not poop for 24 hours…
He hadn’t peed in 14 hours, finally managed him to do a little pee but I had to walk him slowly on my street just a couple houses down and back to do so.. that was after trying in the yard several times. Now his empty scrotum has filled with some fluid
I’m having really bad flashbacks from Axel’s last few months right now which may sound ridiculousAxel’s biopsy’s had filled with a lot of fluid too which they told me would be absorbed in time so I’m hoping that’s the same for this also. I’ll call the vet in a couple hours when they are less busy. Just wanted to vent out my worries on here
Thank you! He has been drinking, which is what has me perplexed. Even so I did soak his morning kibble to help with digestion and getting more fluids in himHas he been drinking? He might be dehydrated, which can also make him constipated. Could you encourage him to drink by adding some finely chopped roast chicken to some water? I find adding a bit of boiling water first to the chicken to make it soupy, then cool it down with cold water, is irresistible for Snowie. He laps it all up.

Thank youSo much to worry about after any procedure! It’s understandable that you are feeling extra stress because of memories of Axel, but I hope you are able to take a deep breath and lean on the vet’s words. I’m sure he will be fine and probably much too bouncy soon! And in a couple of weeks all will be back to normal, if not sooner!
