Sorry for the delay, I was working until 8.30pm. Harley has arthritis and the lump on her paw is bone growth which vet said is linked. Lead only walks for 2 weeks then back for blood tests and check up. She’s on strong anti inflammatory medication for 2 weeks until she gets reviewed. They are also sending xrays to a specialist to be confirmed 100%. They’ve taken biopsies and sent them off, but they will be a week or two for results.
I’m feeling a bit flat at the minute and not sure what to think, except why my beautiful girl who has already been through so much 😢. I’m going to look into treatments that might help, but any suggestions welcome.

No apologies needed, I think it’s just you and Harley are in lots of people’s thoughts. It sounds like you’ve got some answers but not the full picture which must be frustrating. You poor thing, I can imagine you’re feeling flat and unsure :( It’s really tough but hopefully others will have experience to share that might help. And in the meantime look after yourself, you’re doing all you can for your lovely Harley xxx

I’m glad you’ve got some answers, even though it’s going to be a bit of a journey. I hope the anti-inflammatories will help Harley feel more comfortable. It’s not surprising you’re feeling flat. You’ve had an anxious time and it’s never easy waiting over the weekend for things to happen. Thinking of you.

Hardly sounds a little like Rourke, he was nodding on his front leg and the problem turns out to be his shoulder, he also has a bony growth on the rear hind leg which is arthritis. He has arthritis in both shoulders, both front wrists and both rear hocks. His shoulder is the major problem, he has tendonitis and possibly a mechanical problem. Unfortunately he cannot take anti-inflammatories. The specialist orthopaedic vet was quite optimistic about controlling arthritis if the dog can take anti-inflammatories, so there is a lot of hope for Harley. I do hope the other lumps prove to be nothing, a worry for you until you know.

I hope Harley has some relief from the anti-imflamatories. I'm sorry you have received this news @Naya it's miserable but as you know there are a lot of members dogs on the forum with the same condition so lots of support and advice for you. Harley has had a lot to deal with poor love. We are all here for you. xxx

Sending you both lots of love.

Whatever the outcome I have no doubt you will manage it and Harley is in the best possible hands xx

Aw it’s so tough for you to see poor Harley going through all this. It’s been a lot, poor girl. Totally understand why you would be feeling flat. I hope the meds will work and she can start to feel better, and you too.
