Hattie Picking at Breakfast

I'm not sure if this is something I should be concerned about, but over the last couple of weeks Hattie has on some mornings picked at her breakfast. She gets one scoop as always but is leaving some. She is weeing/pooing as normal, exercising very well as normal, playing with Charlie and all is exactly the same in every way. She eats her evening meal without any problem. Any ideas please? Thank you xx

If activity levels are the same and she is eating fine in the evening, I wouldn’t be overly concerned. Have you tried feeding her later in the morning? If her weight isn’t dropping, though, I’d be thinking that it’s just her metabolism changing a bit with age (sorry!) and she’s sensible enough to only eat what she needs ... unlike some others I could mention...

As in newly purchased bag of same food, not new kind of food.
Yes it's a new bag of food. x

Have you had her teeth checked? When my Gavin started picking at his food it was a sore tooth.
.
I don't think it's her teeth or gums as she eats all of her meal in the evening which includes raw chicken wings or raw duck necks. She also eats crunchy and chewie chews without any problem. She's got no problem with me brushing her teeth either. It's just the morning meal. I fed her an hour later this morning as @snowbunny suggested and she finished it. xx

How is Hattie this morning?
She is just fine in herself thanks Cath. x

The only difference is I put Hattie & Charlie on Yumove about 4 weeks ago, but I don't think that would have this affect.

Thanks everyone. xx

Glad Hattie ate as normal this morning. I have noticed that as I get older I eat later in the morning. Might be the same with Hattie (apart from the fact that she eats much healthier than me!).

Glad she finished it today :)

Sometimes dogs can reject new bags of familiar food if something has changed about the formula. That’s why I asked about that (wasn’t about freshness in case you thought that :) )
