Hattie's been to the Emergency Vet ;(;(

Hattie was perfectly fine this morning, ate her breakfast, drink, normal wee and poo, then 12.30 she started panting and threw up twice, it came on in a flash. Slowly declined with a temperature of 40.7 C. Unsteady and shaking, rattly chest. Rang the vet who lucky was the vet we always see so knows Hattie well, she met us at the surgery. Her temperature was 41.2 C when she took it. Justine gave her an AB shot and we have some ABs for the next few days, she's lost a bit of weight but not worryingly so, no tummy tenderness. We have to call her tomorrow to update on Hattie's progress. This is the third bout of this 'bug' or whatever it is, the last episodes were 'non conclusive'. Poor love has had a rough time. xx

That was a shock to read, hope she is feeling much better this evening. Could she have inhaled anything? A friend's greyhound had inhaled a seed which became stuck in his lung, he kept getting infections which would respond to antibiotics.
