He has changed so much

I'm going to have to watch Poldark someday , but I'm not sure I can deal with all the depressing stuff that seems to happen. Doesn't everyone take turns at tragically dying? Maybe I should stick to YouTube clips featuring lovely scenery (landscape and the lead actor).
The first series was mainly people standing on cliffs shouting “the pilchards are coming!”

Oh I know, it is like that. You just think for once couldn't it all go swimmingly! I do watch it if I'm home, it is an endurance test though. I think I just like the music.

Can't see what all the fuss is about with the lead actor, truly. But on a serious note I think there has been some good acting in the earlier series, especially from the girl who played Elizabeth, and George and Demelza too.

He sounds pretty much perfect to me (Reuben that is). What a lovely post, you are training him so well, it took me much longer to get Maisy as calm and focused.

I have to admit to not watching this series of Poldark, like Emily said, it is often really depressing. I got a bit fed up with everyone being poor or dying or losing out in love. Best watched with the sound off and then you can appreciate the beauty of the gorgeous . . . scenery! ;)

The one stumbling block re Reuben is his massive excitement when going into somewhere , like the Vets for example . I called in on Saturday morning to get his flea/tick treatment , intending to take him in, but I chickened out because the waiting room was pretty full and he was wildly excited even before I had my hand on the door ! He is now much better when greeting people but going into places , well , its a nightmare really ! I dont want to curb his enthusiasm too much , he isnt quite a year old yet and I guess I should be thankful that he loves going to the Vets , maybe I will take him a time or two when its very quiet , and also work on taking him into the village pub , he has sat outside very nicely but I have yet to go through the door with him , Reuben just loves everyone x

This is one of Maisy's problems too. She is calm as you like going into known places, home, work, bank etc. but going into a pub she gets excited and just wants to go and see everybody. The problem is partly, I think, to the fact that the landlady in our local gives Maisy huge pieces of ham when she goes there and that association is so exciting - smell of beer = ham, or something like that. The last time we went was not too bad, she sat nicely and waited for the ham to arrive  and was calmer, but I hardly ever go there so it is difficult. New pubs on holiday are the same and the last one we went in she made a b-line for a couple eating their dinner - very embarrassing. Practise, practise I suppose, and that is down to us.

Yes, you need to practice going into pub! That is why I have to take Joy to the pub every Friday.
