Hello from me and my team

Hello everyone!
Since we have a new home, I thought it would be good if we all re-introduced ourselves.

So here goes! I am Fiona, I split my year between the mountains of Andorra and the slightly smaller mountains ("hills" to most people) of southern Catalonia, Spain. I live with my long-suffering husband (affectionately known by all here as "J", although I have slightly less affectionate names that I often mutter under my breath), and our three-and-three-quarter dogs. Three of these are Labradors I have had since puppies:
Willow and Shadow are from working lines, a black girl and yellow boy, respectively. Yes, Shadow is the yellow one. Yes, you'd think that the black one would be Shadow. No, she's not. Yes, other people have said that in the past. Yes, we apparently like to mess with people's minds.
My first Labradors, these two came into our lives in the most unexpected way, when we just happened to be present for their birth. Having had no plans to own a dog at this stage of our life, how things have changed by that one chance occurrence. Our lives are now completely ruled by dogs!
Luna is my chocolate girl from show lines and a completely different creature to my other two, temperamentally speaking. Our pet name for her as a chubby puppy was Squidge and it's pretty much stuck; she answers to Squidge more reliably than she does Luna :)
Last but not least is the "three quarters" who is Juniper, or Ginny for short. She is a Podenco cross that we rescued from the local shelter where we volunteer in Spain. There is a whole back story there that I shall add one day. For now, this is my team.

Left to right: Juniper, Willow, Luna, Shadow

Hi , I`m Kate , and surprise surprise ,I live in Cornwall ! My home is between the south and north coasts , on the edge of Bodmin Moor . I live in a fairly small village with my husband Paul and our little rescue dog Nelly who is a Chihuahua X Shih Tzu , three years old and deaf , we are her fourth home , but her last one . The dog in my avatar is Sam , my beautiful darling boy who died almost eight months ago when we helped him upon his way , he had been diagnosed with Lymphoma when he was only five years old , he was a mere six when we said our sad goodbye . Whether I have another Labrador is debatable right now, I have owned and loved them for many years but the time has to be right for all of us , so here is Miss . Nelly Fluffy Pants , in all her glory ( and Teddy ) !

Hi, I’m Ternaya - usually Known as Naya. I live in Bristol, UK with Harley and my OH. My daughter left home 2 years ago and lives and works in Plymouth with her partner so we often visit down there.
My friend asked me to look after her 8 year old lab for a week in 2012 whilst they went on holiday, and my love for labs started. Harley is my first ever dog and I got her when my daughter went to uni in 2013. I was working part time at this stage and needed to walk / move a lot due to surgery on my spine (2011) after a car crash in 2009. I’ve had lots of trials and tribulations with Harley over the years and have learned so much through meeting everyone on here. I definitely don’t have all the answers when it comes to dogs / pups, but hopefully I can help someone in some way.
Look forward to meeting you all ?8203D679-D106-409F-B4CC-1C513336BFEE.jpeg

Hi! I’m Jen. I’m 29 (nearly 30 ) and live oop Norf with my hubby. I am also a full on crazy dog mam!

I have a 2 year old black Labrador called Stanley. He’s my very first dog and I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing with him but I love him very much and we muddle our way through.

Hello, I am Lara and I live on the Berkshire/Oxfordshire border in the UK. I am 32 and the proud owner of a lab x English pointer called The Pig (or Indie on rare occasions). Her full name is currently Indiana Pindiana Pigletina Dogerpillar Bobblepig the Dog but she gains and loses middle names on a monthly basis. Because of her hunting drive she is not a relaxing-stroll type of dog, but a me-scrabbling-through-brambles-throwing-sardines kind of dog (and my Fitbit identifies a walk with the Pig as not a walk but unidentified ‘Sport’). But we also have a lot of fun dabbling in gundoggery and she is generally a Good Pig. She generally posts on the forum more than I do. She will be a Big Sister at the start of September when we have our first mini-hooman!

Hello! My name is Kelsey, I’m 28 and my chocolate boy Axel is 2. We live in The Okanagan in British Columbia. I did have a new chocolate puppy lined up from Axel’s breeder for early next year but I have had to put that to a stop after a sudden change in my marriage.. aka divorce!

But that’s ok, these last four months have really brought Axel and I closer together, more than I ever thought imaginable. Between losing my dear Odie mid February, to then finding out my husband is leaving me early March, it hasn’t exactly been the best of years. But none the less I powered through with my best boy right by my side :giggle:

I’m looking into some fun new classes to try with him too, either Scent Work or a Tricks class. Very excited to give that a go!

Hi, I'm Robyn and I live in the southern suburbs of Sydney, Australia with Maxx our precocious 8 month old lab and my wonderful (mostly) OH of 31 years (25 years married?). We went through the most terrible puppy blues and finding this forum saved our sanity! Now I feel so lucky to be part of this community :)

Hi, I’m Ashley and my black lab Quinn is 2 and a half. We live with Quinn’s Dad in Toronto, Canada and equally love fresh snow and hot summer swims. Quinn is my first dog, and I grew up in a no pets household and dog ownership took some convincing from my OH and his two daughters. We took the girls yellow lab puppy for a test weekend and I agreed to a lab puppy because I read they are good for first time dog owners ha! I went from a list of rules (one being - the puppy is not my responsibility, another being no dog on furniture, especially the bed) to being a crazy dog lady and training class junkie ? All rules out the window within a day!
