Hello - Newbie here

Hi and welcome to our forum. You have certainly moved to a beautiful part of the world, but I am biased, I live in a little village on Exmoor not far from Dunster!

Welcome to you and Boomer and thank you for sharing the photo of Presley as well. Those white muzzles are the sweetest! I'm sorry for your loss even though you are absolutely right, 14.5 did indeed do you proud. It doesn't make it any easier. I hope you will share stories of both Boomer and Presley here and I'll look forward to hearing about your corner of Somerset. :)

Thanks everyone for such warm welcome messages - what a lovely friendly place.

Great to hear all about you guys and all your dogs too.
@Heidrun - We’re only about 20 mins from Dunster too - in a village over towards the Quantocks :happy:

@snowbunny - oops busted!

So I used to be on TLF a little bit last year - (more of a lurker than a poster) and I really enjoyed learning loads about training.

But when we moved earlier this year- all my dog training went to pot. OH stayed behind for work and most of the time it’s been just me, Boomer and the kids and I’m afraid I went into survival mode. I never knew how hard it is trying to train with two kiddos constantly with you apart when they are in bed!! :eek: (To be fair - all three of them do a great middle now!)

So I gave myself a much needed kick up the a*se a month or so ago and tried to get back into training. But then of course found TLF very strangely quiet and I found I really missed all the posts, debates and chats that I’d learnt so much from.

So I turned detective (or stalker) and after lots of false starts…it was the fabulous Keir that led me here :love: Google search for Keir Guide Dog brings this forum to number two! And with a huge smile on my face - realised I'd found it!

So thank you Keir for getting me here! And thank you to everyone for creating the new forum - I’m determined to more of a poster and less of a lurker this time around!

Welcome Kay and Boomer from me and Xena down near Wellington in NZ. What a lovely photo of Presley, he looks like a true gent.

And I LOVE your detective skills! Fancy finding us via Keir, that was very, very good thinking!
