Holly

Such a worry...good news is that labs usually lap up the barium! Hopefully you get to the bottom of things.

The good news is that we've just picked Holly up so she's home for the night.

The not-so-good news is that the Barium meal seems to slow right down in her large intestine. This could be a blockage or swelling, and there's not enough evidence to know which. They want her back in the morning. If it's managed to move then its likely that it will clear itself naturally. If not, then exploratory surgery is the next step.

She's allowed a light meal - her first food since Sunday night - as this might help to move the Barium meal.

Fingers crossed that the light meal helps things work through. I hope Holly has a good night and you have more positive answers in the morning.

Glad you have Holly home, and she is allowed some food at long last. Really hope things get moving.....

At least she is home with you where she belongs. Hopefully a bit of food (every Labrador's panacea) will do the trick, and you'll have an easier night. Fingers and paws crossed for you here.
