Had a bit of trouble cleaning upper some really black vomit a few weeks ago, but my trusty solution is normally usually a solid wipe and scrub with baby wipes, then just a solution of soap powder and a scrubbing brush. Previous problems were cleaning it too well and leaving paler patches on my grubby carpet.

We are in an ever repeating discussion, replace the hall carpet - tiles or more carpet. But it just keeps repeating and we don't get any nearer replacement.

Several years ago, after a particularly unpleasant bout of doggy diarrhea, I decided to have the downstairs carpets ripped out and hardwood floors replaced throughout. It was expensive - but worth every euro, I have never regretted it.

I hope Homer is on the mend tomorrow.

Exactly the same here, wood laminate instead of tiles. Except also: should we decorate first?

Poor Homer.

That's what our rug looked like before we replaced it.

We have hardwood floors and tiles throughout the house. They've survived two lots of toilet training (Ella and Nathan) and more vomitting episodes than I wish to count :puke:

Homer's better, now I'm ill again. I haven't been ill in ages and ages now ill twice this time on antibiotics which make me feel worse.

We polished up the floor boards downstairs and have loose carpets which have been replaced a few times and tiles in the kitchen. Upstairs is fitted carpets. Homer is usually sick upstairs.

I think we do need to replace the carpets after all the painting is done.

Simple Solution stain and odor remover is very good for removing vomit stains. No perfect tho... that requires elbow grease!
