How much does your puppy weigh?

Bruno has just turned 16 weeks and he's 24.5kg's he's on the lowest end of food.

He sounds like a big boy.
But, it's not all about absolute weight, rather body shape, aiming for a tuck up below ribs and a blanket like covering of fat rather than a "sheet" or "duvet".
Manufacturers also tend to overestimate food quantities.
We think feed your dog for its size rather than the charts.
Do you have photos? A straight side on, and a view from above can help gauge.

He's a show lab and I've been told they can be a bigger build. He has a clear waist but not necessarily a tummy tuck. He's on 140grams three times a day. He has a bit of puppy fat but the last time he put puppy fat on he shot up loads. I don't have a side on photo but I have tried to attach a few. Thank you

It may be the case that he is a bit saggy in the tummy....but wouldn’t want to make a firm call just on the basis of these pics. With a growing dog it’s much better to be slightly lean than a bit chubby. Chub puts unnecessary strain on joints. So you’re definitely right to be evaluating his weight. When you’ve got the chance get a few other photos as Jacqui suggested

I know of course everything has changed in the pandemic, but does your vet offer the chance to assess his progress.?
It is more about how they look than what they actually weigh.

I've been updating the vets with his weight every few weeks and they are happy with his weight. He looks fine he has a clear waist but not really a tucked tummy yet I've attached a photo. Thank you

Hi and welcome from me and my two dogs . If your Vet is happy then I wouldnt worry too much , he will soon lose any puppy fat once he starts longer walks, he is lovely x

He does look like he might be a stockier build being a show type.
I agree it's really good that you are aware of weight right now, and he still has looaaaaads of growing to go!

Good for you to be concerned about your pup's weight. Yes, he's a show Lab but that doesn't mean they have to be fat, which so many sadly are
I have one show Lab and two field Labs. My show girl is the youngest and I agonised over her as she was growing up, because she's such a different shape to the others. I keep her very trim as a rule (she's a bit of a porker at the moment having gorged herself on fallen figs at every opportunity over the last few weeks) so that I can see her last rib. She has a significant tuck-up but every dog is a bit of a different shape and you need to learn how to gauge what's good for your own. You can see the last rib in this picture - it stands out here because of the shadowing behind it.I aim to be able to see it at all times, even when the dog is at rest (I'm sure I have some pictures showing that, but I can't put my hand on them right now). My field Labs don't have this very prominent final rib.

Amongst her siblings, we have some big boys around the 9.5 kg mark at 10 weeks old. I will ask on Wednesday as a few of them are at the vets with their final vaccinations

11 weeks: 22.5 lbs/ 10.21 kg

By comparison, Quinn was 21 lbs / 9.5kg at 12 weeks

So 2 kgs difference. I am hoping this means that River will be a slightly smaller, shorter version of her mum
