How often do dogs poo on a walk?

I’ve never given it a second thought that Snowie might make three poos on a walk. He poos on his morning walk and on his evening walk, but very seldom at other times.

I was walking with my cousin today—he knows very little about dogs—and he commented about Snowie making a poo, then around the corner making another, and shortly after another. It was an off leash walk and Snowie was free to poo as he pleased. It got me worrying that perhaps his slipped disc makes it difficult to empty his bowels all in one go. So, I’m asking here: what’s normal for your dogs? Do they make one big poo, or a few small poos? Thanks!

Lilly always manages to squeeze out at least a small poo on a walk.
I have only known her ONCE to do two poos on a walk. They were both pretty normal, but she had had a bone the day before and were slightly chalky perhaps.

Ella generally poos twice a day. They could be in the garden or on a walk, depending on the timing.

Occasionally, if she's really really excited, she squeeze out a second little poo when we're out

Buddy goes three or four times a day, but he is still on three meals a day. Usually fairly small solid poos (he is raw fed), but on a walk, it is always much softer than normal. Is this an adrenaline/excitement/senses overload thing? Hoping it is and that he will grow out of it, it's not so much of a problem on the field, but not great to clean up off pavements!

Kipper does a good big poo in the garden first thing in the morning. He generally does one more on his mid/late morning walk, and one small one on his afternoon walk. If he goes swimming he generally does a small looser poo soon afterwards, which I put down to excitement.

Snap, Pepper also always has a looser poo soon after he's been swimming in the river or the lake.

My lot are fed three meals a day, with lots of food also in enrichment (Kongs etc) and training. It doesn’t impact on the frequency of poos.
It sounds quite likely that the excitement is what’s causing the softness if it’s consistently soft when out and about but firm at home. Puppy tummies can be a bit sensitive to all sorts of things. I’m sure it will sort itself out in time :)
