Me and Steve have ended up in couples counselling to try and manage it in a healthy way because quite frankly I am totally bewildered by the change of dynamics!
What a sensible and (eek!) grown up way to deal with such a big shift. I really hope it helps, I know plenty of people who’ve found couples counselling really useful.

I will say it has been really really helpful - our first session we spent basically screeching at each other with ‘your kid v my kid’ and the last session we had the therapist actually complimented us on how we were working as a team (obvs me mostly! 😂😂)

Welcome back Leanne, I was a bit worried but hoping you were just busy. Now I know I was right to be worried. I hope you are truly ok and everything settles down at home. Promise me you will look after yourself - ok?

Mas looks magnificent

Maxx...well. Thanks for asking. We had an awful time where one of the head trainers at dog school shouted at us that our dog was dangerous due to his leaping up at everyone and trying to put their hands/arms in his mouth. Long story short we have had to resort to a nose bridle which I know isn't PR but to be honest it has been wonderful. He seems fine with it and doesn't even pull his head away when we put it on; and now he is getting more and more calm so we hope to do away with it soon. Sometimes he does throw himself onto the grass and paw at it so then we take it off immediately. I'm still raw about it but everyone on here were, as always, so supportive and helpful.

It's lovely to have you back, sit back in one of our virtual sofas, grab a coffee and give yourself and Mas a bit of time to catch up. You and your family have gone through so much, just mind boggling quite frankly, as well as scary and unsettling. I hope you can find time to relax, maybe look at some meditation techniques. Stick around though, don't feel you have too, you really have so much on your plate right now. Really pleased you are looking at some counselling, just having someone listen to you will help going forward. Of course, feel free to rant at us, or even throw a virtual pot or two!
