Reuben watches intently when I`m doing something different , like this morning planting a new hellebore . Part of me thinks it is so sweet , then the other part wonders what he is thinking i.e I Halp 
I love the way they watch ..

Reminds me of our previous lab BJ. He watched with a little puckered frown as they do, as J planted a newly acquired Stag's Horn tree - only about 4 ft tall at that stage. We finished, stood back proudly to look at it and BJ rushed down the path and as he passed this treelet, he snatched it out of the ground and tore around the lawn with his 'prize' 
Over the summer that year, he pulled the poor thing up no less than 3 more times until eventually it was protected. It is now a healthy but very peculiarly shaped tree
