The kongs are a good move- my 2 have 3 each per day - part of their allowance and their daily routine. I see it as an enrichment activity - occupies them and really enjoyable. You could give Stanley one whilst you are feeding Rory. I lay a towel down fo each dog and they just go and lie on it waiting for their kongs. This nice weather though means kongs outside.

Also you are being way too hard on yourself and I think Stanley is quite a resilient chappy. He is 3 now? So he may be more assertive about his territory and does not want to share his garden/territory with the neighbour's new dog? The whole family dynamics have changed and it affects everybody.
On a lighter note what type of baby carrier have you bought?
Fantastic idea as it helps you bond with both Rory and Stanley!

No idea how heavy my baby grandson is now but you can imagine with his birthweight at just over 10lbs, he is quite a chunk at 12 months. My son still carries him (forward facing) in his carrier. I really don’t know how he does it but they have 3 active girls and sometimes the pushchair is inappropriate. I am still exhausted from lifting and carrying him (the baby, not my son 😉) yesterday on my hip. I did the school run so had to negotiate getting him in and out of his car seat in my Mini and then in and out of his pushchair. It was an absolute hoot when trying to collapse the pushchair to get it in the car - I couldn’t remember how to do it. I swear all the mum’s eyes 👀 were on me so I kept ultra cool and worked it out. Phew 😅. The baby was a sweetheart - such a happy 😊 boy 💙❤. Jen you have all this to look forward to - the lifting and managing of equipment is like an operational feat 😂

Just this cheap and cheerful one. It should do the job.

There were some that went up to 15kg but they were much more expensive and no way will I be able to lug a 15kg beast around anyway 😖

Nathan is 15.5kgs. Upgraded from an Ergobaby 360 All Positions Baby Carrier: Pearl Grey

To a hiking carrier Karinjo Child Carrier last year. It definitely allows you to carry a greater weight and they like to be able to see over your shoulder when you're walking.
