Jaws

Finn is very well and has no problems at all, but I was just wondering how and what do I do with this observation...A few months ago I saw that Finn often sticks his tongue out. He hasn’t done this until now. That made me having a good look at his mouth. I do see that his under jaw is sticking out under his upper jaw....He hasn’t trouble eating, not in pain and no other objectivities are to be seen. What to do....?

Underbites are usually not an issue, but if he starts having trouble eating or doing normal things, then a trip to the vet!
Although I’m not entirely sure what they’d do! I’ve never seen them in an adult dog, but the puppies occasionally have them and correct themselves as they grow older.

With Finn its the other way round. Didn’t have a underbite as a pup. It’s developed in a few month time and he is 7,5. But as I said, it doesn’t bother him, it’s just my observation

I phoned the vet to ask about his underbite. You can see it clearly and his tongue is sticking more out. They told me that his teeth are worn down. He is getting a little old man. As long as it doesn’t bother him nothing has to be done. It’s a different story if he gets uncomfortable or can’t eat properly anymore. He probably had a little underbite and became more at aging
