At the weekend we went to see a litter of cockapoos and have chosen a puppy. She's a white cockapoo with black ears. Like Holly, she was not pushy with her littermates but holds her own in the rough and tumble of puppy play. Her name will be Jazz, or Jazzmyn when she's naughty! Mum is an F2 cockapoo and dad is a Poodle.
We've been very impressed with the breeder. She runs a Facebook group for everyone who has one of her dogs and posts puppy videos daily. By watching her daily Facebook posts we've been able to see how the pups develop, interact and eat, as well as watching them being socialised with new experiences. The pups have a large indoor play area which is full of things for them to experience such a play tunnel, fluffy toys, noisy toys, a rabbit hutch. They get a lot of human interaction and she calls each pup by its name. As the pups got older she occasionally introduces things like a wobble board, radios and (hilariously) a music mat. Jazz appears to be very confident and curious when confronted with these new things. Now that the weather's improved they've been introduced to the garden.
This is Jazz (on the right in the bed) with her littermates. We're both very excited !
