Joyful behaviour

Reuben is not a barker but on odd occasions , he barks for joy When I take him for a walk , he is happy but not a sound, however when my elder grandson joins us , Reuben cannot contain his utter joy and when let off lead will give a resounding bark or two , doing what I call his Lamb Dance If Silas joins us , the expression of pure happiness is even more profound , do others do this I wonder ? x

I haven't experienced Cassie barking in this way, but absolutely she is full of happiness and vra vra vroom if either my son or daughter join us for a walk. In her case it results in zoomies, but I would say it's coming from the same place as Reuben's joyful barking. I love to see it happening

Doug used to do a happy bark when he saw me in the mornings I miss that happy bark

No barks for joy here, but a full-on whale symphony, accompanied by the happy dance

Chewie does the happy barking when people come over- especially his grandmothers. He likes to stand right in front of them and bark in their faces.

Quinn has started barking when people or dogs she loves come up the driveway. She barks like crazy when she sees my parents and races around for a toy, to the door, then barks with her toy in mouth until the greetings have settled down. I would say she didn't start with the happy barking until she was almost 3!

Yes, Snowie sometimes barks when people arrive and are happily saying hallo. Then he’ll let off a few WOOF WOOF WOOF happy hallo barks of his own. Resulting in our guests almost jumping out of their skins. His bark is LOUD!!!

Maxx has the loudest, most reverberating bark imaginable. It echoes around your head and sends you into instant action to do whatever is necessary to shut him up. He goes ballistic if we get a delivery and when someone actually comes inside.......

Reuben has now extended his lamb danceand bark for joy to Anna , the dog walker/carer , he absolutely adores her which is grand , it makes me so pleased to see this x

Harley barks whenever anyone comes to the door. It’s good in a way as she is so loud and sounds aggressive that a few shifty looking people have walked away . If it’s someone she knows, she does an excited bark then runs and gets a toy whilst grunting
