Keir - Guide Dog and Hearing Dog (dual trained)

Both dogs 'helped ' me to stuff Kongs for the freezer thismorning, because Joy gets some of her food in a Kong round about 6pm and I was expecting Keir to want the same. They've just had them and Joy finished hers before Keir, which surprised me as he's so much bigger than her. Then I thought about it.....smaller dog=smaller tongue! Better for extracting things from Kongs!

Lovely! In that last photo Kier looks twice the size of Joy! it's brilliant Kier's owner has found you @Candy , must be a great relief for her to know you and (and Mags) are around to take care of him. As brilliant as he is, I can see that just occasionally you would need to leave him behind for the day, for his own enjoyment and comfort if nothing else.
No Tatze today?

He does! It's like in every photo, Keir is standing closer to the camera than Joy...but no, he's just massive compared to her. 😂

I didn't realise that Keir was a there without his Mama Lady, but now remember you saying you were going to get him for a visit. That's great - a little doggie holiday for him, though he'll be overjoyed to see her when she comes back too.

Because of the problems Mags is having with her hands, she is currently not able to hold a dog on a lead if there's any chance of pulling, so sadly no Tatze, but GGJ and I hope to see her again before long.
Pee Ess, Tatze is a GoodGirl and doesn't usually pull, just if she sees a cat, which GGJ also does!

Potential wet eye warning here!
I was just going to bed on Friday evening at about 8.30 ( been going early due to Covid), when Joy started doing the excited barking and squeaking that she does when someone she knows and loves has come through the gates. I was tempted to just carry on to bed, but then thought that if it was a friend checking to see how I was, he/she would worry if I didn't answer the door. I opened up and there was The Boy Himself, lovely Keir and his owner. Via the kind of improvised sign language that she and I use, I managed to convey that I had Covid but was OK. She explained that Keir had been crying on and off all day and when she took him out for his evening wee, he had brought her to my door. I gave him lots of cuddles ( impossible not to cuddle Keir) reassured his owner again that I was OK and they went home.
The following morning I had a text from his owner apologising for disturbing me, but saying that Keir wouldn't settle until they'd visited me. I sent her a message back asking 'Do you think he knew?' (about me having Covid) and she sent back 'Yes, he's very clever and wants to look after people he loves'.
Anyway, more excited barking from Joy thisevening and there was The Boy again, outside the flats where they live attempting to get through their gate and head over to my house, whilst his owner was calling him to go back inside! I took Joy and we crossed the road and said Hello. I explained to Keir and his owner that I had now tested negative and was starting to feel much better. I gave the beautiful lad a lot of cuddles and kisses and they went back inside.
How special are these wonderful dogs though? I mean, he's not even mine, I just look after him from time to time. I feel very, very honoured.
