I think I would too! I remember the day I took Monty to see an ortho surgeon at Willows in Solihull. Before the vet examined him, we went outside and asked me to walk Monty up and down the grass and car park to see how he was moving. He was only 12-13 months then, he pulled me like a train randomly doing emergency stops to smell all the other dogs who had been there and lurching towards other people arriving (it's a really big busy surgery). After a few minutes the vet said don't bother, I can't see a thing the way he's behavingIf it was my dog, I would give pain relief until I knew the appointment date and then leave it off the night before I was going, probably wrong!

) I'm going to call the vet and discuss meds, as I don't think we'll be seeing any assessment before the weekend. We also want to see their physio to discuss options; the more we're talking about this, the more we're still not convinced this is ED/DED so are cautious about stepping onto a conveyor belt without full investigation. We can understand why this is the first thought, but it shouldn't be the only one. Taking videos is a great idea - I know we've discussed taking useful video before (different sides, angles and paces off lead) so I'll capture this as thoroughly as poss and go from there.
