Hopefully just a spot of limber tail - although that can be very uncomfortable for them. Willow got it once from wagging too much. It's so sad when they have a droopy tail

Good to know it’s just a strain. Such a worry though when you don’t know and you feel so bad for them. I’m sure he’ll feel great when the anti-inflammatories kick in!

Poor Kipper, thankfully nothing too serious although not very comfortable for the poor mite. If only they could tell us where it hurts! Get well for Christmas Kipper!

Horribly painful for Kipper, but a relief for you to know it's "just" a strain.

Limber tail or 'tail strain' can make them really miserable . Hopefully with some rest and the anti-inflammatories Kipper will recover quickly .

You are all lovely, thanks for your kind messages once we’ve got these ‘firsts’ out of the way I’ll know what to expect next time (if there is one). It’s all those ‘what if’s’ that go racing round your head - blockage? Torsion? Rupture? - that does for me. We’re a lot more relaxed now, although he’s distinctly below par. Reckon he’ll be back on form in a day or so.

I think I’m more aware now of the many things that can go wrong than I was before forum days. I used to live in blissful ignorance, but now I expect the worst!

I hope the anti-inflammatories help him feel more comfortable soon.
