Lambies for Joy please.

Poor little girl tried to lie down in her downstairs bed and caught her sore side on the edge of it. She then was frightened to try again, but treats and encouragement have persuaded her back and here she is where she usually lies in the evenings, right by my chair. She seems to be starting to understand that she needs to be a bit careful just now, which is good. Somewhat encouraged by this I have managed to pour myself a small glass of white! So now we're both happy!20250626_202651.jpg

Poor Joy, that does look sore. She should feel so much better tomorrow.

We both slept well thanks. I'm going to give Joy her pain medication (Rimadyl) a chance to kick in, then we'll try the first walk of the day ( 10-15 minute lead walks 3-4 times a day until the stitches have been removed) and see how that goes. Then home for some breakfast. She's a little bit subdued ( not her usual cheeky biffing me with a paw because she wants her walk) but is settled and waggy and seems happy enough.
