Thankyou everyone for all the Lambies, they obviously have done the trick! I'm just back from my book club meeting and have poured myself a small glass of Wednesday wine in celebration of Lambie power. Usual rules don't apply this week!

It's held in a pub, so whatever alcohol you want is available! I tend to go for beer here though, because just one lasts me the whole meeting, meaning I don't miss anything due to going back to the bar for a top up.No wine AT the book club meeting?

I'm supposed to be going out with a friend tomorrow, ( just into Bradford for a snoop round, it's the UK City of Culture this year and there are some interesting things happening) but I hadn't left Joy at all since she had her surgery as I didn't want to risk her nibbling at her stitches. She's not touched them so far, so today I nipped into Halifax for a few things that I can't get locally . I was gone for about two hours and she's been fine, no evidence whatsoever of stitch nibbling, so I think I should be OK for tomorrow. It'll be a relief when they come out on Monday though, we're both getting equally bored with all walks having to be on lead and I think she's longing for a swim!
