Lambies for Joy please.

Joy's shown no interest in her morning walk, however she bravely managed somehow to force her breakfast down(!) and is now in her usual spot on the landing, peering through the stained and frosted glass and barking when dogs of a type she dislikes go past, even though she can't see them.(How she knows who they are remains a mystery to me). This is all perfectly normal behaviour for her at this time of day, so I'm assuming she's not in much pain at the moment. I'm waiting for Tom to ring me with the blood results and I'll ask him then about further analgesia should she need it. Thankyou for all the Lambies and for your kind messages. I'll keep you informed about what's happening. It's always very strange for me having no walk in the morning and it leaves me feeling I should use the time doing something useful and sensible, like cleaning:shock:
However I shall attempt to resist the urge ( mustn't overdo things, got to keep my strength up for dog cuddles).

Telephone call from the vet, Joy's first set of bloods came back within normal limits, but they were unable to test the second lot as the blood had clotted by the time they reached the lab. I can take Joy back to the local branch to have the second set done again free of charge. The lab is closed over the weekend, so this will have to be today or Monday. I think I'm going to leave it until Monday. She's settled and happy at the moment, eating OK, behaving normally and the weather is horrible. It seems a shame to drag her out again when she's quite happy. I have some Rimadyl that I keep in reserve for if she's in pain, so if necessary she can have one of these.
Wrote this earlier, then was rather bombarded with people wanting to know how she was! Anyway, we've had a quiet and settled day. She hasn't really wanted walks or ball games at all, although she did manage to sneak in through the neighbours' door and steal Loki the Spaniel's breakfast, which I'm taking as a good sign.
Here she is now, snoozy and settled. ❤20260123_142950.jpg

Vet appointment for bloods is now on Wednesday. I rang the local branch, but apparently they would prefer her to go over to Huddersfield, which is also where the bloods are actually tested to make sure the sample isn't clotted again by the time it gets there, which makes sense. I thought Joy seemed rather quiet and subdued again thismorning, but then I put some bread in the toaster and as if by magic there she was, faithfully at my side!:penguinkiss::hearteyesdog:
So no particular cause for concern. I'll be glad when it's all over though!
