Reading that bought me to tears, poor owners, such a shock. It must have been such a relief that you came by. `I suppose for the dog, it was a good way to die, out on a walk, sniffing leaves, I hope the owner can draw some comfort from that.

How very sad for you and that poor man, but Molly was in her element, sniffing about with her human by her side, perfect way for a dog to go.
It must be awful though having to take her back, so glad you were there for him.
